About Jose Castaneda Sr.

Upon receiving a master’s degree from Columbia University, and after having worked for a time in the banking industry, attorney Jose Castaneda Sr. went to study law at Pace University, in White Plains, N.Y. After graduating, he opened an office in Port Chester, N.Y., where he has served the community for over 28 years now. He is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and New York, as well as Federal Courts in the Second Circuit.
For eight years of his professional career Mr. Castaneda has served as a local judge in Port Chester. His position as a judge precludes him from taking local court cases within Westchester County. He can, however, take cases in City and County courts in Westchester, as well as all courts in any other counties.
Jose Castaneda Jr. studied law at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. He then went to work for the Public Defender’ Office for Broward County, Florida. In 2009 he was named a rising star within the super lawyers group for Florida. He has 15 years of experience in the fields of criminal defense, personal injury and accidents litigation, bankruptcy and matrimonial law. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and Florida.
